Help: Router blocking youtube?

Thread Starter
I have the choice of 2 routers to connect to, and I can login to both routers wirelessly

One router has a slower ping/connection (500 ms ping + 1-1.5 mbits/.5) but plays youtube fine.

The other routher has a much much better ping/connection (13 ms 2mbits/.5)

BUT the faster/lower ping router will only play the first 30 seconds - 1 min of a youtube video and stops? The other plays it fine (but if my brother is dloading movies or my son is playing PS3/360 the speed drops ALOT

Try an encrypted connection using a free proxy like Hotspot Shield. Using such a soft all your traffic would be encrypted and routed thru HS' servers so in a sense it might be slower. Since the data is encrypted the router can't see what site you are accessing and you can check if Youtube works - if it works only encrypted than your router blocks the site by default.
