This. There will always be something new right around the corner which will make your components worth less.

Wow, saw the budget and thought ***, but the build actually looks awesome. Everything looks solid to me. Retail win 7 pro is a little pricey to me, but if you can afford it, why not. You can use it on the next build too.
Just so you know, the Big Bang doesnt support Tri-SLI, only 2.

Get the Asus Maximus/ Asrock Extreme7/ Gigabyte UD7.

I would get sth like the TJ07, instead of the HAF-X for looks. Cut down on spending on useless stuff like the mice. And I am pretty sure you do not need the STX, if you are going out to a A/V receiver anyway, dont quote me on that.

Just read through all 12 pages of fail....OP, please listen to only 5% of these people. As I'm sure you can see 95% of these people did NOT read your original posts and keep suggesting hard drives, watercooling, OCing, and new non 3d/vision compliant projectors. Your build looks great! The only thing I do have a problem with is the sound card as everyone else has stated. You have an Optical audio out on the mobo and a receiver, there's absolutely no need for another audio processor when you have one in the receiver that's going to take priority anyways. Otherwise good luck! Hope your client likes the build, I sure would =D.

To everyone else please stop replying with suggestions without reading his damned req./borders.

His budget won't allow for an SR2, the actual rig is only 5k, the rest is on the projectors/speakers.

Build looks awesome! Just out of curiosity why do you need the 7 usb extentions? Other than that looks great. Maybe give me one of those Arkham City codes

Nice build!
Computer hardware wise, it looks like a solid build.
As others have mentioned, no need for a sound card when the AV receiver is doing all the decoding. The sound quality will be decent from those Polks, but not great. How big is the entertainment room going to be, because those Polk subs are really weak if you are talking about a massive room.

True sound equipment will really hit you in the wallet hard. My parents have invested over $10k in just the speakers alone that comprise of Miller & Kreisel and Theil speakers. Another $4k in the 1080p projector, and close to $2k in the cables alone.

After playing in Eyefinity/Surround for close to 2 years, I prefer to play in a single large format. Too many bugs and glitches and the technology has yet to be perfected. 3D gaming is great, but after 10 minutes of playing, I get a headache. I believe 3D TVs was the biggest technology loser in 2010 (I read that somewhere).

In the end, it really boils down to how much you are willing to spend? $6K just for the PC is pretty much high-end, but $2K for the sound and display is chump change.

Good luck with the build.

Do not get the RAT 7, it is unreliable. I have one the laser is always acting up, the tiniest spec of dust messes up the lens and makes it unusable. you probably wont even see anything on the lens either. It is very frustrating. It is overpriced and is not very good.
