The Insanity of Choosing (Mamba and RAT owners!) - Page 4

I understand it would defeat the purpose, but the mouse still works fully functionally in wired mode even if you take out the battery, correct?

As for wireless, I'm no professional, I game for fun and have only been to two tournaments in my life as part of a clan / community.. but I can't tell the difference at all [Mamba 1st gen both times]. I honestly will defer to you here, but I can't personally tell any difference at all. :\\

None here at all with the 4G, as for the Gen1, no issues in tracking as well other than that z-axis thing... had it for 2 years. Since release date until I got my 4G to retire it. The only problem with the Gen1 was the battery life. I mean seriously.. maybe my battery was shot, but I could barely get over 5 hours of normal play. That's absurdly low. The newer 4G nabs me ~10 hours. Well it's closer to 3-4 days since I can't play as much as I used to... seems life enjoys piling on responsibility as I get older

Super quick edit:

Agreed... though with time, as long as you use the same sensitivity it almost becomes second nature. Whether it be uber high or low

I use 2500dpi, acceleration on, 1000hz polling rate. I have no problem in shooters getting accurate shots without messing with my settings.
(edit: And it's a generation 1, I believe. Yes it works exactly the same plugged in/no battery as wireless/with battery.)

So no tracking problems? (sorry for the redundancy, just want to really be sure!)

Also, YGPM.

Getting accurate shots is not the same as consistently making your shots and being able to track quickly.

This video actually shows how a good player is able to track.

Around 40 seconds he does the tracking. Being able to do something as simple as that is what will make you consistently accurate.
