Just give me Debian with KDE. The Contour tablet project is proceeding nicely and Qt works well with mobile thanks to Nokia. Further, due to the abstractions of KDE applications, the only changes that need to be made for them to work well with mobile is to redo the UI (little/no work needed on the backend components).

I do think that Gnome-shell would also work well with a tablet (that's what it seems to be designed for), but it needs touch support (surprisingly) and it's GTK.

I dislike Unity and Ubuntu (I have nothing good to say here, so I'll leave this lay).

Puppy, Ubuntu and Fedora are different distributions of the same OS?

Unity and Gnome3 only suck for desktops, they're great for this kind of use.
I guess its just what ever a person prefers . The idea of a linux (ubuntu or otherwise) tablet is great news, in time for the transformer 2

I laugh harder at ALL of the people who dislike Unity on smartphones, GNOME IS A MESS FOR A SMARTPHONE.

/rant

Goodness, common sense is lacking here. Very much.

Do what Microsoft does, use dual GUI's. Goodness. :/ Also if not, use a transformable GUI.
