Nah, don't be intimidated at all. There's a 3 part walk through detailing every aspect of taking it apart, fixing it, and putting it back together. You can pause it and go as slow as you want or even stop until you're 100% positive you're keeping pace with the guide. I fixed mine and it's relatively simple as long as you keep every screw that you're taking out. Don't sell it as broken when you can fix it with an hour's work.
