Multiple fans on same MB header?

Hello

I found one cable from Akasa that allows to connect 3 PWM fan's on same MB PWM header, needed to know if there is an equal but for normal fan's (3 pins fan's) to connect to MB chassis_fan.

Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable

I can't find any cable for normal fans and i'm thinking about making the cable but do not know if it only works with PWM fans or if it also works with 3 pin fans connected to MB chassis_fan.

My mb has one PWM_fan connector, three chassis_fan and one power_fan, i have my MCP35x connected to PWM_fan and i want to connect six fans to the three chassis_fan, two fans by MB header but connecting the RPM cable to MB chassis_fan and the other two cables to PSU, someone can tell me if this works?

Thanks

It depends on how many amps your mobo can provide and what the power draw of the fans is. As an example my mobo can power fans up to 2A.

Where are you based? There's loads of 3 pin fan splitter available from many PC suppliers.

Portugal, and there's also loads of 3 pin fan splitter available here but what i seek is a 3 pin fan splitter to connect to mb and with a molex to psu... like this Akasa:

But this one is for PWM and i need one for 3 pin fans.

Ah, I see what you mean. No I've not seen that type for multiple fans although I do have a few of them for a single fan. You could take an rpm feed from one fan only of each batch you connect to cpnnect to a fan header as an rpm sensor. You can't connect the rpm sensor for multiple fans to a header as it confuses the signal and you won't get an accurate reading.

Edit: I'm fairly certain you'll only be able to use it to generate the rpm signal and not actually control the fan speeds.

Big Elf, my P6T Deluxe V2 can handle up to 2A on each header, but the load on all headers combined can only be up to 7A.

The idea was to control 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP15, 2 COOLINK SWiF2 120P and 1 SILENX iXtrema PRO SERIES 120MM 14dBA 38MM
