Agree with you that there has been global warming, but there still is plenty we can do to slow it down. Not necessarily stop it.

That's the facts.
True - but imho all the arguments and discussion are a distraction from LETS SORT IT OUT!

Forget who, why, when and where... just lets try pulling together to develop some truly EARTH-shattering innovation and sustainable energy!

Hells... if we (The West) ploughed as much $£$£ into sustainability as we did into finding new and innovative ways to KILL EACH OTHER! - I am sure that we would all be better off.

I agree completely with that not only do you see that egocentric way of thinking in everyday life but to have the audacity to think that we solely caused something this major gives me a good laugh. I'm not saying we might not help it along/contribute to it but all these people and companies trying to say we as humans solely have caused this "disaster" is quite funny.

We're gonna be still here for a long time til our future generations in 50 years to 80 years later would probably develop better energy and technology uses to travel in space or perhaps improve the usage of electronics and more to reduce global warming. We're still gonna be here unfortunately unless we finally have 1st contact with Aliens and learn we can travel to a new Earth and start fresh without polluting it in the first place? I still believe we come from the stars besides a higher being. Sucks it's probably real or not but it's really hard to pinpoint the facts.

Earth has been around for billions of years. I'm sure it's a phase Earth goes through.

Climate gate a British scandal?? Umm try to lessen what it really was, fact the data from Norwich was used by NOAA for thier scaremongering lies, much much more than a British scandal.

The mere fact that they changed from Global Warming to Climate Change when it was apparent the Earth wasnt warming says it all, nor are sea temps rising Nasa's very own Argos sea buoys show they are falling.

You can't convince someone who 'doesn't believe' we've affected climate change to suddenly think differently. It's been proven that when showing someone something that goes against their 'beliefs' they simply hold onto their beliefs more tightly.

It makes a lot of people look retarded, but it's not their fault. It's human nature.

(Interesting piece of evidence for global climate change: The only studies attempting to disprove it have been funded by oil companies)

You might want to read up on your sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_..._Globalisation

You're citing op-ed articles from a conspiracy theorist club.

You may want to give this a gander. Food for thought!

Even though this topic is very pertinent in a technology forum such as OCN, as technology has become the face of the human species and increasing how we interact with the environment, these threads always end up in a steaming pile of opinions and crap sources being thrown around like it's an android vs ios thread. I'm starting to think these news topics shouldn't even be allowed.
