You are 100% correct, but missing the elephant in the room. Right now, on this planet, 1/3 of the population is starving. Every 3.8 mintues, some ones dies from hunger. The problem is natural causes create food shortages.

Now the earth naturally has climate change, but by humans driving the climate to change, we will create more starvation. Places that used to grow crops, will not be able too. The places that can't grow crops will. Forest will have to die and move to different ecosystems.

As the current climate is, 1/3 of the population is starving. Image if another dust bowl hit middle america, but instead of lasting 10 years, last 50 years. How much food could we produce in this country with the great plains.

About 80% of USA food comes from the great plains. Could you survive with 80% less food?

Forest will start to shift away from normal areas and repopulate new areas. This process has happen before, but with climate change, it will happen in decades not centuries. How are you going to build yourself a house, if that forest is no more and you have to wait 30 years to get usable trees.

It is not that the climate change is "normal" or not, but is how fast it happens greatly effects the ability for humans to survive. If the climate changes too quickly, we will see the starvation rate increase dramatically.

Now if we are the cause of the change, we can give yourselves more time, by stop producing green house gases, allowing more time to adjust. We can also stop pooping where we are eating. By going to eco friendly items, we can help stop waste, create jobs, and enjoy what we have.

But it is getting warmer. Either we can just run at it full speed and pray the traffic accident does not kill everyone, or we can start to steer and stop, and maybe reduce the damage from the accident ahead. But make no mistake, there is an accident, if we do not do something now, it will only get worst.

As for the cold/snow storm group, please. Climate change actually can create the weather in the west coast. The warmer the planet the more energy the systems can have. The current "north easter" (high pressure) was pull south by a really powerful warm weather system in the Atlantic ocean. The warm (low pressure) weather system was powered by warming oceans and warmer surface temps. If it was not for climate change the warmer weather would have not gotten soo warm, the colder weather would have not been pulled soo far south.

But if you want to deal with storms just like this, keep your foot on the gas and head for the accident has fast as you can.

Once again, it is climate change.

The keyword here is the rate that climate is heating up. Even the Ice age takes thousands of years to get that cold.

Wrong - google Younger Dryas. Changes can happen very quickly in nature as well. The reason we call this the 'correct' (to use his terminology) climate is because these are the conditions we evolved to cope with over the relatively short period of time we have existed on this planet.

If we cause the climate to warm (as all the evidence points to that we are) we will enter a period of climatic changes we are unadapted to. More importantly, species and systems we rely upon will not be adapted to these new changes either, especially with the pressures we already place on them. This whole debate should center around how best we should mitigate our impact and learn to adapt in the meantime.

With respect, most of what is causing starvation is political and financial nothing to do with climate! And the climate change movement is going to cause more starvation not less buy taking money from poorer countries. the climate change movement is brought about to control the earths population and shift the wealth. Its a load of tosh that its all about saving people from tsunamis floods famine etc that so callled climate change will bring about (not). The same people banging on about this crap are the people behind the OPT website OPTIMUM POPULATION TRUST who want 5 and a half billion of us wiped out by year 2050, go read the web site it reads like its written by total raving maniacs, likening a child dead or not born to damn air miles! BS they care about anyone, most of these people have many bratts and own vast swathes of land, damn hypocrites!

I agree! Let's invade some more impoverished countries and keep the fossil fuels flowing and those greedy, green thumb politicians out of our gub'ment!
I'm sure the starving children in Africa understand the need for daily oil spills in their backyards that ruin their livelihood and kill them, the need to keep those rampant, crazy commies off of their private property!

(Look at me! I can post irrational, unsubstantiated jargon as well! inb4 lock)

Because the Human race, despite our best efforts, are still totally ignorant about some subjects.

FACT Co2 is nearly twice as heavy as oxygen, something like 99.99% is in the earths water, below land, on the land and most of the remaing 00.01% is at low level IT IS NOT UP IN THE ATMOSHERE CAUSING CLIMATE CHANGE. Because it,s so heavy is why it is in foam based fire extinguishers its weight causing the foam to sink, or has it suddenly changed it's molecular weight and become lighter than air lol, do these fire extinguishers no longer work!

Water vapour is a far more likely culprit to cause climate change, its in 70% of the atmosphere opposed to the miniscule bit of Co2 in it, but hey we cant tax that can we.....
