Yate Loon D12SL-12 120MM

I am looking at getting 5 of these for 39.99.. 4 of witch for my h100 and i am wondering if these are good for rads... or even 2 with the corsair fans.... any help would be great. Noise is not a problem i game with headphones and not like video card fans are quiet....
They are alright, I've had a couple myself. The cfm is average and the noise isn't too bad. I don't think they have great static pressure though. In any case, $40 for 5 fans is a great deal, I'd go for it.

Edit: I don't know if this is true anymore, but awhile ago it was a fact the only Petra's Shop carried the model with the larger motor.

i am just trying to find 2 or 4 fans that are better for the rad then having to spend 20 a fan as i dont have 100+ bucks for 4 fans
post #4 of 8
Depends on what orientation you'll use. If the rad will be vertical, then the Yates will be fine. If you're mounting horizontal, get different fans.

Sleeve bearing fans lose a lot of performance when mounted horizontal. I'll say from experience, that my Yate Mediums in push/pull on a top 360 in the HAF X, at full speed I can barely feel any air moving.

This and the fans will die faster being mounted in horizontal configuration.
