Pny GTX460, should I get it?

I saw one at bestbuy for $127.99 and was wondering if it's worth it for a first time nvidia user like myself.

I was planing on getting a CPU and PSU since I still need them both for my rig and i already have a 4850 but I can't play Battlefield 3 very good on it. So either I wait to be able to get a good CPU and get a good PSU and GFX card. or I get a CPU and PSU and get almost unplayable FPS until I am able to upgrade which would be around Christmas time. Plus the GTX460 isn't going to last very long on the shelves.

Personally I'd wait as prices may drop by Christmas time, that being said however a 460 is quite a nice card. I'd wait and buy something later, I guess it all depends on how much you want to play BF3.

Edit: I say just wait for new cards to come out. Prices will fall even more for the 400 cards.

why worry about buying online when you can get great deals here? 1GB 460s are selling for 110-ish shipped, 768MB 460s are selling for 100 bucks. If you think you need one now a 460 is a very nice card, especially if you buy from OCN. But if you can, yeah I'd wait to see how much prices drop in a month or two...

I have a PNY GTX 460 1GB from BB. Had for a year. Good card and still capable within reasonable limits. If that's your budget I don't think you could do better. As for the "wait" crowd, oftentimes GPU prices don't drop after a new release. If you need it now, that's a fair price.

hey i've got this card, and even though i'm thinking of upgrading to a new 560 whenever they come out, it's a solid purchase!

i run things on a single screen at 1080, and if youre okay with 35-40 fps on some games, you can still crank lots of things up. i think it runs like butta... i've not played bf3 and im sure youd have to adjust, but da2, lotro, force unleashed2 are some things ive been playing recently with specs CRANKED

PNY isn't a very reputable brand, and you can get an MSI GTX 460 Hawk for $139 on Newegg.

What? PNY has been around for many many years.

OP, get the GTX 460 1GB. It is a good deal, as long as it isn't an SE or 768mb.
