g400 to ...

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I have been using the g400 and I really like it but I have to switch to a Zowie mouse for sponsor reasons. Are any of the Zowie mice close to the g400? Also can they run on 125hz? I'm used to 125hz so I'd rather not change.

It's best to use the Zowie EC1/2 at 500hz. The only difference between the EC1 and EC2 are the size. EC1 would be the closest in size compared to the G400.

EDIT: Forgot about the MiCO, but that's no where near the same shape as the G400/mx518

Does anybody have a chart showing jitter at 125hz for the EC1? Just curious.

Well, the only difference between EC1 and EC2 is the size.
Think of it a Steelseries Kinzu and Xai relation

IMO, go with the EC1, it is a pretty decent mouse.

You were using the G400 @ 125hz? Weird...
I went from a MX518 to the zowie ec2 white. I currently using 500hz/500 dpi and its amazing. I haven't noticed an jittering or anything.

For the EC series, hold a side button with the hz you want to use and plug it into your PC. Don't let go of the side button until the wheel lights up. Use software to confirm that your polling rate has changed to the speed that you selected.

Plugging in the mouse with no buttons held = default 1000hz

Plugging in the mouse while holding the "page forward" thumb button = 500hz

Plugging in the mouse while holding the "page back" thumb button = 125hz

I would suggest trying out 500hz, it makes a huge difference over 125hz.

EDIT: It seems that you meant how it tracked at 125hz..... my bad.
