Singing Recording Solution

Thread Starter
So, my girlfriend wants to start recording herself singing for youtube videos. I was wondering what would be a good way to record herself.

I know I could just get a good webcam and have that record both video and audio. But what I am wondering is, should I just get an external mic, like the Blue Snowball or Samson C0U1 and use that to record the audio. Then sync the 2 together using Premiere.

Or I could even go as far as getting a whole audio setup. like the M-Audio Audio Buddy, and a microphone.

What would any of you suggest?

I have a Asus Xonar DX sound card if that helps.

I say get a blue snowball or a yeti mic. That should be quite sufficient for a while.
