ASUS CuCore 5770 for Random Act of kindness

Thread Starter
Here is how this will work:

Edit: You have a week to go out and do a random act of kindness.

I will give the person who demonstrates the greates act of random kindness, an ASUS CuCore 5770. What I mean is, you will go out and do something nice for a random person. I don't want you to post that you did something for a friend, family member or neighbot. The point is to do something nice for a stranger.

What I expect from the poster:

- First, you must have integrity and be honest about your random act of kindness.

- Second, you must go out and do a random act of kindness, then post here what you did and why.

- Third, you can only post once in the thread, so please just edit your original post if you've done a 1-up on your previous act.

The rules for who can participate:

Anyone can participate, but I will ship for free within the US, and will ask an international winner to pay 1/2 the shipping (shipping can be double the price when shipping international).

How the winner will be chosen:
A winner will be picked on November 6th, a week from today, at 10:00 PM PST. I will ask a 3rd party to pick the winner to remove any bias I might have.

Update Nov 03, 2011: Pic of actual card

ASUS-5770_OCN.jpg

And yes, I realize I should have wrote CuCore and not CoreCu...

Note: This is an Open Box card I got from newegg (bought 1, then decided to grab another for this giveaway), so it will have the same standard warranty offered from ASUS. It is not a refurbished card, and works as new.

I work at a deli and we always have extra bread so I posted on craiglist in the free section asking if anyone would like some. So I delivered to five different families. I did it because we always throw away the extra and we get it delivered fresh everyday. Also I know how hard it can be to provide for a family especially these days. I also told the families that I can deliver to them every week.

That is too good. I don't even want to say mine anymore. My story is not even close. Good job Dave man.

I'm not sure if this counts as a "random act of kindness". There was recently a pretty bad car accident near where I live, a few cars involved. I called 911, and went over to check on the drivers. Some people needed medical help, and when the EMTs arrived, I stuck around and helped them get people out of cars, patch them up, etc.

If I get the card, I would give it to a friend of mine; his card failed on him, so he's sitting on integrated unable to play any games, can't afford to buy a replacement. I miss his online antics. tongue.gif

Very generous of the OP. Good luck to those who are entering!

I am not entering this as I believe I do not need to rewarded for random acts of kindness. It's more of something that people should be doing anyways if they're able to.

This is so nice.

I feel like sharing my story for no reason other than I enjoy reading others, even if I win or not.

A little while back, a month or so we had a horrible storm suddenly hit us in my town. While driving I noticed there was a car in front of me sideways in the road, one of the large construction signs was blown over right on the hood of the car. The wind was upwards of 20mph with horrible rain. I pulled over, ran out and pulled the sign off and made sure the driver was OK. He was, I signaled for traffic to stop and helped the man push his car out of the road. And after going home to find the power off, I spent the rest of the day calling Ameren UE to report local outages and help the people around me and local stores pull tree limbs off of their cars and what not. Sadly my power was out for 2 days, as the line I had was actually ripped :|

This is so great, we had a store that did something similar until they closed recently.

Oh wow, I was driving home and a raccoon family (Nursery). Mother, kid and another kid was crossing the road. I was behind a driver and I saw a shutter like hitting a pot hole, luckily my vehicle is JDM so my car is right hand drive (In Canada it's left hand drive) and I saw the kid and it's mother. I swerved knowingly what that "Shutter" might've been as you may have known one kid got hit but the mother and the the other wee one is okay.

R.I.P Little baby Raccoon, may your parent and sibling live well and prosper.

Not really a random act of kindness but knowing some raccoons lived to see another day made me smile. Cheers !
