however, the closest i have been able to find with great range and comfort are marketed as "in-ear monitors". they're usually worn by musicians for use on stage (i'm a drummer and have been using them for many years)...they offer not only a more comfortable fit than typical store-bought earbuds, but a range more comparable to an over-the-ear headphone. Shure makes very good in-ears, and i'm sure they have something in the OPs price range.
Currently using, Ultimate Ears 400vi (now known as the 500vi). The b.e.s.t earphones of the price-point that I have tried. And they aint that expensive. Build quality is sick and looks great. The music is just clear as hell. Sure, I am no audiophile, but I can tell when I am using good earphones vs average ones.

I will admit earbuds aint great, but you have to know where to look to find good ones.

The Superlux are deadly uncomfortable, tried them at a store, And if I recall properly, they sound decent, if I'm not wrong they are cheaper than what you mentioned as well. But they make your ears very warm and not good for portability tbh. Stick to the ATH, cant go wrong with that, customer service should be better with ATH as well.

of course, and i agree. I experimented with UE in-ears from my days working at Guitar Center, and i liked the quality, but in the end, i decided on Shure because i got a nice deal from them

To the OP...have you looked at the Sony Headphones? specifically the MDR-7506, or the slightly cheaper but still great MDR-V6? I'm not sure if they're available where you live, but those are the over-hear headphones i use, both for video work, and for listning at home. they're both very good for the price.
