Finalising my gtx 570 gaming build.

Ok, so after weeks of contemplating, I have finally decided on my gaming rig (details in the sig)

I was originally going to go with the gtx 570 MSI TFIII, but the place I'm ordering from is out of stock, and so I've decided on going for the ASUS. They're the same price, so would I be losing any performance or perks with the ASUS; should I just wait until they get in the MSI?

Also, I was going to go with the NZXT Phantom or HAF 932 up until recently when my friend got the HAF 922, and after seeing the size of a mid case, I'm leaning towards it as I don't want to go any bigger. If I go for the HAF 922, will I be able to possibly fit another gtx 570 DirectCU II in the future in sli, or will the case be too small?

Just wondering if you guys had any suggestions for how I should alter the rig before I order, and if getting the ASUS and a mid size case is a mistake.

Any help would be much appreciated

msi gtx 570 twin frozr III and Asus gtx 570 DCII both are very good cards, but twin III is 2 slot card and asus is 3 slot card. If your motherboard have enough space between PCI-E then, you can go asus gtx 570DC II SLI.

Oh....so if I waned to sli the asus cards later on, would i have enough space on my motherboard and my case?
do you have 6 slots (not pci-e lanes, slots) from ur first pci-e to the bottom of ur mobo?

I think so..although im kind of new to this so im not exactly sure...here's the specs of the motherboard http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=8170 ...it looks like it has enough pci slots but they are different types

if you can fit that board in your case you will definitely be fine. however if u plan on running them on pci-e lanes 1 & 3 leaving 2 in between as a nice space then you wont suffocate your top card but u might need a full tower for that kinda room my sabertooth only has 2x pci-e lanes and the edge of my mobo is like 3/4 inch away from the top of my psu lol

Hi guys,

I just got really lucky. When i got my new computer, seller did a mistake and i've got a free Asus GTX570 Direct CU II.

So at this moment, i've just 1 card plugged in. I think i've enough space to put the other one.

My motherboard is: Asus Rampage III Extreme.
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...e_III_Extreme/

I've enough space to plug them both, but the problem comes with the power supply.

I've a 720W Gigabyte power supply. It won't be enough i think (i'm kinda new to SLI).
What power supply i should get to make SLI work with those 2 beasts plugged in?

Thanks for help

i say 850w+ with 60+ amps on 1 12v rail or but some may push it lower. thats what i would get at least tho.

Ok..so 650w psu will be to little for sli 570s? Im thinking that maybe i should just wait until the place im ordering from gets in the msi because it will take up less space. The case ive chosen is fine for the motherboard, a friend of mine has a similar setup and it worked for him. Should a mid tower be able to fit two twin frozr iii's?

it would probably fine cause the 2 cards plus ur 2500k will prolly pull around 500-600 depending on if u overclock and ur board ram and drive will be like 50 so it may be a real close call but it can be done. that psu also has 4 rails rated at 22-25 amps so if u utilize all of them you SHOULD be ok but again its pushin it imo. u dont wanna skimp on something like ur psu.
