Ok, I might look into a 750W psu then just to be safe (I don't think I'll be overclocking much, but may do in the future). And the MSI cards? Two of them should fit in a mid case just fine right?

Ok thanks for the info

u can try ur 650w just make sure u use all 4 of your 12+v rails to power your 2 570's and the worst thing that can happen is it will fail lol but again i wouldnt suggest it lol. but since u plan on OC u will def be at or go over 650 cuz ur 95 watt 2500k will ez break 130 watt.
and if ur motherboard fits, then they will fit in a mid tower just fine.

Alternatively, I could not wait for the MSI's to come in and get a GTX 580, it will cost my $150-$250 more depending on the variant I get. What do you think, worth it or not?

actually that being said, I can get a reference MSI GTX 580 for just about AU$100 extra....worth it?
depends on the resolution you will be playing at. 1 gtx 580 will not be a huge upgrade over a 570. notable, but not huge and not worth it especially if u arent playing on larger than 1920x1200. on a side note, 2 570's would destroy 1 580. if u can sell ur 570 by all means get the 580 but its not worth it to just outright buy another 580. ur choice tho

Nah I don't actually have a gfx card right now, I don't have a rig at all at the moment. The rig in my sig is what I plan to build and preferebly as soon as possible, hence not waiting for the 570 tf iii to come in stock and instad get a 580, but for now ive still got a blank canvas. Sorry, I should have been more clear :-/ ... So now I can either wait 2 or more weeks for the 570 tf ii to come in stock or I can get a reference for AU $120 extra (the 580 tf ii is AU $150 extra but I hear that they're quite dodgy) So should I throw down the money for a 580 and build my rig now, or does the performance difference not justify $120 extra?

I've had two msi reference gtx 570, had to rma both of them because they kept crashing, after talking to msi i got a twin frozr 3 and its been working great. also under load its about 25ºC cooler. Just keep in mind that the tf3 is not a refernce design so finding a watercooling block for it might be hard if u wanna go down that road at a later stage

Nah I'm not going to water cool; I'm new to the whole PC building scene and I don't really want to jump into the deep end just yet (pun intended), I'm probably not even going to OC for a while. So you're saying the reference MSI's are aren't great? I could always go 580 TF II for that bit extra, but my main issue is if the difference in price is really going to be worth it when compared to the 570 TF III. What is extremely inconvenient is that all my local stores and my preferred online store are out of stock for the 570 TF III, and apparently the supplier has not word on when they're going to come back in.

well i had problems with two cards. One was just being impossible, the 2nd one i had to bump up the voltage to get it semi stable.
U in australia? if so this place has it http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/178041/VIDEOCARDS_GEFORCE_GTX_5XX_SERIES/MSI/N570GTX_Twin_Frozr_III_Power_Edition_OC.asp
