Hi

someone made me an offer about 3 of those Fans for 20€ overall.
Is it worth to get those as System Fans? Are they rly running at 18 dba?

The Stats arent that bad, very quiet and high CFM

Bearing Type Sleeve bearing
Rated Voltage 12 VDC
Operating Voltage Range 7~13.8 VDC
Rated Current 0.2 Max.Amp
Rated Power 2.4 Max.Watt
Rated Speed 1000±100RPM
Airflow 87 Max.CFM // 145,8 m³/h
Noise Level 18.1 dBA

anyone that can recommend them?
i planned to use one of them as intake and one as exhaust fan
thanks in advance

I've just recently gotten 3 blue vortexes, and they are definitley very quiet and do run at just 1000rpm. As for the CFM, I can't confirm that, but the cooling they offer is great.

I read somewhere that the red one has problems. This review makes me think the CFM rating is way over... rated.

I'd like to know how it performs with a dust filter.

We'll wait for your feedback. Will you use a fan filter by any chance?

just came home hour ago and installed them, they are pretty quiet and i am satisfied.
they run at fullspeed and the noise is absolutely acceptable, you know that there are some fans running but not in the annoying way.
i dont use fan filter at all since i have no idea yet if there is an improvement with it

replaced the 120mm fan in the 5.25 bay area with the 140mm. used foam to hold it in place
and replaced the stock coolermaster rear fan

sorry for my bad grammar and the quality of the screens is pretty bad either, need a digi cam

Thanks for the pics. The improvement of dust filters is that you don't get that many dust inside. Worth it, IMHO.

Would you say they move 80cfm or more like 60?

ah you mean dust filters yes i think about that and probably buying the DEMCiflex HAF-X Pack
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11...l=g47c223s1024

and one extra for the 5.25 area

i would say they push as much as the TY-140s, round about 70 cfm

70CFM sounds about right to me, that's around the performance of the Blue Vortexes.
