Well, yes, I think that these chips are *worth* throwing out, in the figurative sense that they are nothing like they were hyped up to be.

But, in my post, I intended for "throw out" to be interpreted as, "adding my batch to the pile of crap numbers that gave terrible results"

All this talk of costa and maly and batch number's lol does it really make a difference?

I got a new chip last week, it's a costa and the batch is 3134B422, I'm in the process of getting it stable at 5ghz with 1.43/1.44v. It's crap compared to my old chip which did 5.1ghz with 1.46/1.47v and had a max multi of 57x (batch L041C123)

Hopefully my RMA replacement is better lol

Maybe we should start looking to Communist China for cpu's. http://www.bit-tech.net/custompc/new...u-in-2009.html They'll probably end up buying Intel anyway. At least if the Chinese fail to make all cpu's exactly the same, someone will actually be taken out and shot. A practice Intel should try. They can certainly afford to get away with it.
