For everyone that's not related to me here are some pictures comparing the size of the Little Devil PC-V8 case to the Corsair 800D, and remember the LD case is sitting on the floor and the 800D is on a small platform that raises it a couple of inches.



It makes the Corsair 800D look small which is no small feat as the 800D is one of the largest cases on the market, and was the largest that I've ever owned until the PC-V8

I have two of these in my current rig and they make great case fans, they move a ton of air and do it with almost no noise. The only draw back to them was recently pointed out to my by a fellow forum buddy Los Hog that they pull a lot of watts, 4.3w to be exact. As I'm not planning on hooking these to a controller and I've never had any problems with the 2 I have now I'm not worried.

Also soon I'll doing something to serve as grommets for all the motherboard holes, I'm thinking about trying this:

Beyond that I'm slowly over the coming weeks going to buy things I'll be needing for the build, if I can fan any of these I'll grab some this week, I need 8 of them so it might take a while to get them since no one has them in stock:

Then I'll be getting the XSPC Rasa RS240 kit and a EX480 Radiator to replace the 240 rad that comes in the kit:

I put alot of different wish lists of components together trying to come up with the most cost effective ways of putting my first loop together while planning for possible future additions to the loop and system and since the RS240 kit has the same pump as the RX360 kit this seemed the best way to go. I like the idea of the EX radiators since they are low profile like the RS rads but are supposed to give the performance of the RX rads. I know that running Push Pull on the radiator is probably more than I need but I have the room for it with the EX rad so I figured why the heck not Plus I might cool the motherboard with the CPU loop at some point in the future if the board temps are higher than I would like them to be and then having the push pull would probably be worth it.

As for the main components for the build they will be:

I eventually will put in a second loop to cool my graphics card(s) but I'm going to wait on that till I get at least one new graphics card, but hopefully 2 for SLI. At that point the loop will also have either 1 EX480 rad or 2 EX 360 rads in the bottom of the case but not really sure about the other components yet, but it will probably be powered by an MCP655 pump.

Update 11/23/2011:
Well, the two fans I ordered for the front of the case did get here last evening but arrived to late for me to do anything with them at the time. Now it's a new day and I'm going to get them installed in the case along with the fan filters that I ordered to go along with them. Here are some pics of what I ordered:

Ok I tested the fans to make sure they both worked and that they didn't have any issues with the dented fan grill causing them to hit or drag on the case, and they worked just fine and they look amazing !

Well, I'm off to look at the Black Friday sales on Newegg and Tigerdirect to see if they have anything that I just can't live without, or more to the point anything that I need for the build

Well, Motherboard, Memory and new Processor are ordered they were all on Newegg's Black Friday deals which saved me $80 for a grand total of just over $400 for the Asus 990FX Sabertooth:

Well, it looks like I'll be testing the hardware with either my H50 or with my old Zalman 9700 cpu cooler because there are no extreme savings on any of the water cooling stuff that I want to get. For now I just need to make sure it all works so I don't loose out on the warranty period that shouldn't be any issue.

So if you've read my posts here then you'll know that the case didn't have any of the originally included hardware with it, this includes the power and reset switches. I've had a hard time trying to track down switches that will work because the case manufacture said it takes 19mm switches. Well all I could find was 16mm and 22mm switches with the exception of at the manufactures website, and this really had me stumped for a while now. Well, I was once again looking at Frozencpu's website at the 22mm switches a wondering if I should just order them and just make the holes in the case bigger when I took a look at the switches specs. What I found was this, pretty much everywhere I've been looking measures the diameter of the switch by the face ring of the switch not by the threaded portion of the switch. The threaded portion of the 22mm switch is 18.9mm which will fit the 19mm hole the case perfectly. So the answer to all my problems was actually right in front of me I'd just never bothered to look at the specs of the switches because I thought I already knew the diameter of the switch
