How does the turbo core work on the new FX line?

Thread Starter
I have the AMD P2 X6 and AMD 890GX combo and the turbo core is pretty simple: from 3 to 3,5 GHz.

What is this new "max" turbo core on the AMD FX processors? It does not require voltage? Why is the turbo core now composed of 2 steps?

What AMD chipsets support the new AMD FX 2 step turbo core tech?

I can do that without posting in this forum.... I posted here, because in ocnet people provide fast direct answers. This is for what the forum was (is) famous for...

No mater, it looks like the the turbo core depends on how many cores are overclocked. With max turbo core only half of the cores are overclcoked. Now i am wondering why they could not overclock all the cores that high. If MHz to MHz AMD FX is weaker than Phenom 2, at least they could have made all the cores overclock like mad... Another disappointment.

I am not sure if i should upgrade my CPU to FX6100...

True.
Now on the turbo thing.
There is 2 levels of turbo now.
EXAMPLE
FX-6100 (3.3ghz)
level 1 : All 6 cores oc to 3.6ghz.
level 2 : Only 3 cores oc to 3.9ghz.

EDIT
I have a FX-6100. Right now I'm at 4.4ghz (1.4v) stable on 6 cores, but I'm running 4 cores at 4.6ghz (1.4) and the max safe voltage on the FX chips is 1.4125v.
