Back to square one: Galaxy Nexus or SII? - Page 2

Hate to throw this in the mix, but there are the two LTE phones AT&T (assuming that is the network you are on) is releasing on Sunday... might want to consider.

Really, for something like a screen you don't just look at the name of it. The resolution makes up for it, and the screen still looks good. It's not like the absence of the plus makes it automatic crud.

You need to do a little more research in the screen difference between the SII and Galaxy Nexus. The Nexus actually outshines the SuperAMOLED+ on the SII in all aspects. Do some research before you buy into the fanboy "pentile sucks" garbage.

Also, the AT&T and Sprint versions of the SII sport a worse processor than the Galaxy Nexus. Again, research is your friend. The Galaxy Nexus' processor at 1.2GHz (TI OMAP 4460: ARM Cortex A9-based) is faster than the Galaxy S II LTE's 1.5GHz (Qualcomm APQ8060 Snapdragon, modified ARM Cortex A8). GHz isn't everything. The GPU on the OMAP 4460 is faster than the Galaxy S II LTE's, too.

I'd wait for reviews. Once you put ICS on both the S2 should win more than it loses.

Actually the Sprint and AT&T versions have 1.2 ghz Exynos processor, which is faster than the Galaxy Nexus's. The T-Mobile version has a 1.5ghz Qualcomm processor because it supports T-Mobile's higher download speeds because of network compatibility. So the Galaxy Nexus could be faster than them all, need to see benchmarks first, but spec wise the Sprint and AT&T version of the S2 should be faster than the Galaxy Nexus by a decent amount with ICS.

I'm not in a hurry to get either of them anytime soon, so I guess I'll wait for the bench as well. Thank you for all inputs.

Hmm, we both were wrong. The AT&T/T-Mobile has the 1.5ghz Qualcomm and Sprint has the 1.2ghz Exynos.

You got it mixed up man, your site is linked to an lte model which isn't even available in the states. The correct att gs2 is the i777 model. Thus att and sprint has the same 1.2ghz exynos, while tmobile has the qualcomm as previously mentioned.
