it's Q2 of 2012 and they never said if it will come to US soil when it launches. could wait 6 months like the SII

I think you should definitely get the Galaxy nexus if you like to root and load up custom roms. Nexus devices have alot of development. I own a Nexus S and even the Ice Cream Sandwich SDK port runs smoothly.

there are million rumors that SGSIII's SUPERIOR specs and runs ICS OS which are AWESOME! I can't wait to upgrading SGSIII event in 2012 instead of get Galaxy Nexus Prime. Galaxy Nexus Prime spec will become a dinosaur in 6 months or so.. My courage, you need more time to research it for yourself..

Good luck with your own decisions..

Galaxy S 2 Pros
-Faster Processor - Exynos 4210 Dual Core 1.2ghz and Mali 400 quad core GPU...
Or even the SkyRocket or T-Mobiles 1.5 ghz snapdragon processor... which has it's up and down vs the exynos...
-8MP Camera - and Front 2MP Camera
-Gorilla Glass - Corning amazing glass that is almost scratch resistant.
-Super AMOLED PLUS screen - Best contrast and viewing angles?

Galaxy Nexus Pros
-Bigger 720p Screen-but NOT a SUPER AMOLED + and NOT Gorilla Glass
-Ice Cream Sandwich - Which the GSII is scheduled to be released on Q2 2012... Officially

Like stated, the GS2 has better internals, except the high resolution screen...

Regardless both are good choices as I feel that the 'Galaxy' series seem to integrate well with Android...

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Galaxy S2 and the Nexus Prime as well since going with the Nexus Prime means switching to Verizon and paying a higher monthly bill than I am now on AT&T. I'd personally much rather stay on AT&T but get the new Samsung Galaxy Note but who knows when and if it will ever get released by carriers in the States.

Galaxy Nexus won't be a 'dinosaur' in 6 months or so, but then again I think you just used a bad analogy. It will be old but still a strong smartphone, like a dinosaur which I don't think you meant, considering dinosaurs are strong and extinct.

8mp isn't a pro, all mp is good for is a gimmick by companies since mp is just the size of the picture when you want to print it out, and I doubt you'll need to print out one that big. Galaxy Nexus has a better camera because of the sensors and shutter speeds. Not having gorilla glass doesn't make it terrible, the screen Galaxy Nexus has is still good. Also, just because it doesn't have the + doesn't make the screen bad, if you saw any of the hands-on videos you can clearly see the screen is really nice, and the 729p resolution along with bigger screen is a nice touch.

Same, I hate that all we know so far is that Verizon gets it.

I agree that a cameras MP isn't everything... but picture comparisons will be released soon... And I am loving my GS2 camera as it is replacing my point-and-shoot camera... If it had an 8mp camera with a faster shutter speed and upgraded lens/sensors (like the iphone 4S) then we would have a comparison... but then again, time will tell... and doubt it will be better than the GS2's camera...
Also the Gorilla Glass, I think we will need a drop test of this vs the galaxy nexus... I didn't mean to call the screen BAD, but we'll see comparisons with viewing angles and contrast, as it will be a very good resolution...

As much as I dislike Apple, their iPhone 4S proves to be a good contender against my GS2 in regards to hardware specs...

Like I said, look at the hands-on reviews on youtube and that's what the Galaxy Nexus is. Near instant shutter speed, upgraded sensor. There are a good amount of comparisons of them already.

Not sure about how it'll do with drop test, but this is a new pentile screen, not an old one people keep talking about that was used years ago.

Nexus S will own with ICS but the SII is pretty beast to. You decide if you want to wait or not.

i really really dont care W-ever you thinking.

Therefore, Galaxy Nexus will be a 'dinosaur' in 6 months or so if can't keeping up with Samsung, Motorola, HTC, ZTE release new devices with SUPERIOR specs like that in future. GNEX will join within a dinosaur of Nexus family, sooner.
