ATI HD 4670 and HD 6870 help

Thread Starter
Hey all,

Just upgraded to an XFX HD 6870 from my HD 4670 due to the no so great graphics with BF3 on Low settings. I know what nVidia graphics you can dedicate one card to run strictly physx and the other to run your graphic rendering. I was thinking about doing this with my old 4670 but am not sure if this is possible? My mobo will support the both cards but not sure if ATI cards can do this?

Any help would be great!

Can't remember the mobo, but its an asus. Think its a m48a7 or something like that. Will look when i get home.

But my older card isn't an nvidia, its an ati. Is that still possible to use dual ati cards? or does it have to be an nvidia for dedicated physx?

That would not be possible using ATI cards for PhysX. It is exclusive to Nvidia cards. But you can pick up Nvidia card something like GTS 250 or 450 as a dedicated PhysX and that's very easy to run along with ATI card as main rendering device.
