no office word and i doubt there will be in the way that you can use steam to go straight to battlelog and not have to have origin running at the same time..

I can understand if people get it for Steam if they remove Battelog and provide in-game browser and features but that is simply not going to happen. I've actually grown to like Battelog and no longer want them to remove it.

I like to have all my games in one collective giant box as opposed to having separate ones. For me, it's all about simplicity and minimality. That's the only reason I have for hesitating to purchase BF3, but since there's a chance for BF3 to be available on Steam I'll wait until official word is out.

To those who think that if BF3 comes out on Steam then you'd need Origin to play: it's obviously not gonna happen. Just think.

because there's no example of it happening already
load a ubisoft game from steam, see what happens.

It'd be practically stupid for Steam to sell BF3 and require their users to open up Origin as well. Might as well just get Origin itself. I think the way BF3 will be handled when it comes out on Steam is that Steam will somehow integrate Battelog onto their service (though still two different apps) and not have to require users to acquire Origin. That's my theory, as hopeful as it sounds.

Steam sucks just as bad as Origin does. How about letting me play the game I paid for without ANY stupid game client running???
