I would shame all of you with a fully populated X8OBN-F build.

Eight Xeon X7560 (128-threaded goodness), 512GB of RAM and TEN 590's for the most BA single computer EVER.

Barebones case ~$9000
8x Xeon X7560 CPUs ~$32000
10x GTX590 GPUs ~$8000
64x 8GB stick of RAM ~$8000
4x RAID Card ~$5000
SSDs ~$6000 (24 disk RAID6 ~11GB/s read speed)

Like I'd still be using computers if money is no issue

Most likely I'd own a super computer and will be using some diamond encrusted laptop to vnc into the thing, all while hooked up to the ultimate satellite internet.

SR-3 for sure, but since I'm ASUSfreak... (and since you won't need a dual socket board after all I guess )

ASUS P9X79 Deluxe
Intel Core i7-3960X
Thermalright Silver Arrow with 2x TY-150 coolers
Corsair 4x 8Gb 18666MHz 1.5V Vengeance DDR3 RAM (or 2 kits for 64Gb)
3x ASUS GTX580 Matrix Platinum
2x SSD's for RAID 0 as C:\\ --> doubles speed
4x SSD's in RAID 0+1 as D:\\ --> doubles speed AND makes a backup
An optical burner (cd/dvd/bd)
Corsair 1200W PSU
Lian-Li PC-V2120 case
3x ASUS 27" 3D monitor's (or 3x 60" Sony 3D tv's)
Logitech Z-5500 Surround set (it is eol now so the neweer version...)

A space ship, pointed anywhere in space.

Top end equipment, and i'd shape it to look like the USS Enterprise NX01. Why not Enterprise-D or something? Not sure to be honest, always quite preferred the NX01.

Also, since this is in the Intel - General forum, i'd fuel it all with a whole crap ton of Intel processors.

If money grew on trees for me, I'd upgrade every time new hardware came out. But as someone else previously said, I wouldn't spend so much time in front of a computer. I'd buy a Bombardier Global Express business jet, or keep things simple with a BBJ.

Max out sr-3 with all the goodies mentioned above, install watercooling loop, fill it with this, and instead of a radiator, connect it to an epic 5-stage cascade phase change cooler. Then put the pc itself in an airtight case filled with dry nitrogen so you don't have to worry about insulation and condensation issues.
