No, not dangerous, just a bit higher than I think it needs to be. Although, it varies quite a bit from chip to chip. Mine needs 1.3v at 4.6Ghz, for example.

If you find the time, it might be worth while to you to read up on overclocking (that link I gave you goes over that for your board) and doing it manually. It will allow you to trim down your voltage and temperatures.

It's amazing how big of a difference in temperatures slight voltage changes make.

now @ 44 x 100 @ 1.3v

Running fine and still under 70c on pime 95 with Arktic Cooling freezer & some ac3

no matter how hard I push i cant get it over 71c

reckon I can get 5Ghz stable @ 1.38v?

Worth a try suppose!!

so glad i bought an i5, nearly bought a 1099T or an i7 2600K

i5 seems to clock better than both.

5.0 at 1.38v would mean you have a very impressive chip! Most 5Ghz overclocks require over 1.4v. Keep us informed!
