For gaming alone, I would say its not worth it. However, as a boot drive, it is VERY much worth it.
For gaming it gets a little tricky. Games that load things on the fly (mainly MMOs) will benefit quite a bit from it. When I used to still play WoW, the overall experience was a LOT smoother, especially when flying through a city.
Single player games will, for the most part, only benefit in load times. Once you are past the loading screen you will see little to no benefit.
For multiplayer "match" type games (where you go into a specific level and play a match against opponents, such as LoL or any shooter games), your load time will be faster, but it will only matter if you enter halfway through the match. If you enter at the beginning, you will load faster, but it doesn't matter as you still have to wait for the match to start.
Like I said though, if you have the budget for it, it is VERY much worth it as a boot drive alone.
