GTX 560Ti Good Upgrade?

Thread Starter
Last christmas, gotta gtx 460, couldnt have been any better.

This christmas, looking to upgrade to a GTX 560Ti, is this good? Are there any better cards for 250$? Or should I go AMD and get maybe 2 5850's or 2 6850's and set them up in crossfire?

Budget is 250$ for either 1 or 2 gpus, no more please.

Just some other things on the list; 1Tb Caviar Green, MW3 Xbox 360, BF3 PC.

I wouldnt get a 560ti. You can grab a 6950 2gb card for 250. Go that route. Or snatch up a used 570. Check the sig, I speak from experience.

Try getting one used, I got mine for 160 and it works great lol

Thinking the same thing, because I heard the 6950's can be flashed to 6970's no problem on most mobos.

From my understanding only the reference models can be flashed to 6970's. And some of the toxic models I believe.

I'd love to buy a 2nd 460, but my motherboard is only XFire compatible. I understand that there's a guide to sli on non sli mobos, but I don't feel confident in myself to do so.

looks like 6950 for me.

If you've got 250 dollars to burn, a 560 will run pretty much everything at high settings.

Ditto, BFBC2 is pretty rocking, I havent measured actual high, low and average FPS but I would say what I have seen is in the 45-55FPS range. It's a great little card. For $250 I don't forsee you getting a 570 unless it's an openbox deal but I love my GTX 560 Ti

Update; I really, really, like the idea of having another 460, but thing is, my current one is 768mb, would a 1 gb work? I've read that it won't so, that idea is sort of shot out of the water. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
