GTX460 died(Again)

Thread Starter
I got 2 PNY gtx 460 in SLI.

for some odd reason of the cards isnt seen by my computre of nvidia CP.This is the 2nd card i got from microcenter because the first one stopped working.

I have the MC warranty which allows me to return the card and get the full amount back(store credit).

i beleive i have a total of $340 if i take both cards back. Im willing to dump another $160 which brings me to $500. also i will want to put them under water.

should i return both of them and grab

1 6970
2 6850
1 570
1 580

Thank in advance

You only have two monitors so I would go with 6850 Xfire or GTX 580.

You aren't alone, One of my 460s Died two days ago, or something like that. damn the 460's.
I only have 1 Monitor tho. Wondering if I should get two 560Ti's?
looking at your PSU you have future sli option with the 580 as well, though you need to OC that 750 to 4GHZ to avoid bottlenecking your card in case you go SLI.

If you have no reason to not like anything about the AMD cards, get 2 of the 6870s

They'll overpower one 580 in most cases but if you prefer Nvidia for Drivers or PhysX, ect..., Get the 580

(If your playing BF3, right now I think the AMD cards are having trouble with the MSAA and in crossfire so don't get them if you plan to play BF3)

This would also be great. Your PSU is overkill for what is in your system

What did you get?

You have good money to throw down it looks like, MSI GTX 580 Lightning or Lightning Xtreme i'd suggest

Or a MSI GTX 570 TF III and another one next year sometime
