laptop mother/system boards

Thread Starter
My asus g51vx motherboard just crapped out, so I'm in the process of getting a new motherboard. Do laptop mother/system boards have a universal fit? I'm thinking of just buying one from asus but I'm unsure what would fit into my laptop. help plz?

no, they do not have a universal fit, if its a prebuilt, contact the company and they will sell you the exact same modle you need.

some mobo's vary in size from everything to screen size effecting size, to thickness and battery, there is really no real way to know if a different mobo is gunna fit, or even hook up to your screen
