Edit: SSD caching does make your computer speed up when loading files since videos require LOTS OF SPACE and take LOTS OF TIME to load...my 5400RPM just doesn't save and open my starcraft 2 HD videos fast enough
Why SSD cache when I can run everything off the SSD?
If the Intel SSD caching is anything like the Momentus XT, it might not help me since I'm working with multiple huge files and they'll just push the file out of cache.
Also planning to take my current SSD and use it as a dedicated scratch disk for PS/Illustrator.
Not doing video, just pre-press design/layouts. Also just found out all my Xerox programs are only dual core optimized so...
Only thing that will help is PS and Illustrator. Still looking for more benches on this.
Blah so much choices, I should have this ordered by now.
Might be going with the Asus P67 Pro motherboard now.
Thanks for all the input and more appreciated (at least till I order the rig).Edited by evilferret - 11/1/11 at 6:23pm
