Need Urgent advice between I-52467M VS. I7-2677M

Hey All,

I have already paid for overnight shipping from Tiger Direct for the new U300s. I paid for the lower model that comes with the I5 vs the I7 and the bigger SSD. I don't HAVE to have the larger SSD but was curious if the difference between the 2 CPU's is worth the $400?

I will be using Adobe Pro X for mainly work related doc's etc.

Thanks in advance for any help!

PS. Urgent as I will need to cancel my order before it goes out tomorrow and upgrade to the higher model if it is worth it.

If all you are mainly doing is creating documents with Adobe Pro X, don't waste $400 on the i7. The i5 is plenty for what you want to do. Now, if you're rendering or doing heaving encoding, it may be worth it. However, $400 is a lot of money. You could use $200 to buy a nice 128 GB SSD.

Faster turbo-boost(600mhz faster to be exact), slightly faster graphics, and 1MB more cache.

I'd just get the i5 if I were you.

Go for the i5 and install an i7 by yourself for less than $400 if you need more performance.

Thanks for the advice fella's. Keep in mind this is the brand new Ultra Book from Lenvo. (U300s) It's all one piece allumin. so I dont think it will be very easy to change out any CPU or SSD.

I just bit the bullet and decided on going for the I7 + the 256SSD for the extra money. I forgot that when you get a 128SSD that almost 20 gigs is used up just for the OS lol.

Thanks again for the suggestions!
