ah i suppose i can try and see if i can find a card laying around or something but one is on the memory chips the other one has C797 next to it and the other 2 dont have any numbers but they are right behind the gpu

People need to stop posting crap not related to the issue at hand (like baking GPUs or trolling about deep frying it)

On topic: you should be able to fix it but it will require a steady hand at soldering. look at the ones around the missing ones and see if there is a general trend as to the ship used and more than likely the missing one is the same. Radio Shack may have them but you can also try Parts Express. Good luck sir!

C797 = the position on the PCB.. its of no use for looking up the value of the SMD, unless you have full-blown CAD of the gpu

*Just concentrate on finding ones that are roughly the same size... solder them on.. your GPU works. If I could give you specifics on the values I would.. but #1- its not that important for GPU function .. and #2- I dont have any way to tell [nor do you] the actual values of the SMD caps unless you had 1x in-hand to measure.

just for good measure- here are examples of GPU's I have mod'd.. some with piggy-backed electrolytic capacitors on-top of the SMD caps [the little ones you knocked off].

*heres a 5870 I did for Patch- closeup on the 'doubled' SMD caps for vMEM

...believe me.. just find some and dont screw up the PCB any worse, soldering them back on-> your golden

Yeah I've seen some of your voltmods I guess I can try and it doesn't work I'll ask around and if none there I'll take the gpu out an have a 200$ keychain

get some silly putty.. or clay while your at it... helps tons to hold those little buggers in place while you solder down 1x side

*Ohh... and when/if you find a "donor"... a good pair of tweezers will 'pluck' those SMD caps right off.

-Good luck!
