What are you paying for internet? - Page 4

100 Mbps down, 50 Mbps up. Bandwidth unlimited.

$68 Singapore dollars or around 54 USD.

This one here is some lucky run, normally I get as paid for, 100/50.

The UK is lucky, we are quite small. We were at one time lagging far behind, because like the US, we had monopolies such as BT that forced stupid prices on us. But, the government forced them to open up their lines and allow ISP's to put their own hardware in exchanges.

This is why we now have a huge amount of ISP's, even our Post Office does internet. Competition has made for great prices and great deals. The only thing to work on still is throttling. But a generic 20/1 uncapped package is cheap!

I pay $79 a month for Unlimited downloads, but its Wireless internet so the speeds aren't that great :/

This is fairly good tbh, it tends to have random drop outs and slow downs >_<

Ow god, you really want to know? Well you see, here in Australia we have very expensive internet, I pay $110 for internet and phone bundle, I get 100gbs of download and it goes at around 300kb/s MAX, I get about 30kb/s upload, its really bad. The play says it like 10mb/s or something so I guess it would be a like a megabyte a second right? (a mate has the same plan, but lives closer to town). In conclusion, Australian internet is terrible.

Paying $30 a month for this pile of crap:

Beat that eh......

Nothing better currently available where i live, which is 5mi away from a major city. our county doesn't give a crap about anything outside city limits. i kid you not it goes from 50+ in the city to 1.5 outside, just like that, absolutely no gradient in most areas....

This is the fastest internet in my area. 6mbs DSL. I'm currently paying $20 a month, but its normally $40..it will go up to $40 after my first year or some crap. I was paying $40 for 3mbs for like 2 years, but I had them cut my phone line off and just give me dsl service, so the guy gave me the 6mbs for a year for $20 bucks a month.
