Narrowed it down to 2 cases - All advice very appreciated - Page 4

I'm definitely looking at this now, the other lian li is way too expensive and this design of the mid tower is nicer I think:

http://www.shopbot.ca/pp-lian-li-pc-...ce-321602.html

So long as it fits and I can OC to 4.5 - 5gz

Also, the FT02 has no mid tower? All these mid towers measure up the same as the full tower on silver stones site:

I'm going to make another thread soon with a poll and diff case

I own a Lian Li PC-A70F. It is a nice case, but I think the A71F is even nicer looking, and if I knew of some way where I could order the A71F door I probably would. Cable management is acceptable and can be improved with a hole saw, and fan noise is very low, though if I were you I would still want to invest in a fan controller or lower RPM fans since you are wanting to use it for music production. With the included hard drive vibration absorbing grommets you'll never hear a sound coming from your HDD's. If you have any other questions about the case, feel free to ask. There aren't too many A70F owners on here.

So funny (and I'm not the first nor will I be the last to notice this):
LEDs/cargo box design plastic box ------------------Simplistic alu/steel
Cheapo/gamer garbage ----------------------------- High End

How funny, they take away features, like tons of LEDs and 1337 features for high end, makes you wonder if you ever needed those garbage features to begin with.

Sheesh, but everyone and their mother is a gamer on a budget who for the love of .... keep some hunk of ugly plastic and think its an excuse for a case. Well its not, it is an atrocity, that's what it is.

Sure hardware is important, but i've learned that cases and displays and most peripherals are things that if you get the "good" stuff and usually the more expensive stuff, you are less inclined to upgrade. Basically if you're gonna do anything, do it right the first time. I had to pay that price, slowly upgrading my case and peripherals, when I wish I would've spent a little less on my hardware which I change often, to more on my other supplies which I interact with more.

Sorry a bit Off Topic, think OP has everyones opinions, plus numerous benchmarks, with much reiteration from owners of Silverstone ft02s and lian lis.
I used to be someone who believed cases weren't as important as what goes into the computer, but the more I thought about it and the more I looked at different cases, I just became disgusted with what I was seeing. I went to hell and back deciding which case to buy only because I was nitpicking everything I saw in each case. Anyway, there's no doubt that the FT-02 was $239.99 (free shipping!!) well spent.

I've developed such a grudge for plastic parts that I was a bit disappointed at the top cover of the FT-02... meh, I guess I'll get over it eventually.

Yeah I hate anything plastic as well :/ shame really that Silverstone RV01 if it could be produced without plastic, that would be one heck of a case.

Nice choice and transition man. Good to see youve come to our side and left the 1337 haxor gamers to do their thing, and we high end owners do ours.

I like the look of the FT02 personally.

If you are going to be 100% air cooling its one of the best choices.

Might just be an error on Amazon's part because the FT-02 is anything but a mid tower...

Silverstone's website fails to categorize it as anything but a "Tower Chassis"...it's on the same page as the TJ11...so just check the specs and call it what you want.

Markgerazzi,

I'm also curious about that Lian Li PC-Z60. Since it's a new one, I don't see many people with it yet. I really like the understated front with the top/bottom cut-outs.

The cooling on it is something to look into because that case does it in an unconventional way....

I definitely like the Lian Li PC x60 now, the mid tower is perfect. If the edges were rounded like the FT02 it would be godly. Will this fit my components?
