So funny (and I'm not the first nor will I be the last to notice this):
LEDs/cargo box design plastic box ------------------Simplistic alu/steel
Cheapo/gamer garbage ----------------------------- High End
How funny, they take away features, like tons of LEDs and 1337 features for high end, makes you wonder if you ever needed those garbage features to begin with.
Sheesh, but everyone and their mother is a gamer on a budget who for the love of .... keep some hunk of ugly plastic and think its an excuse for a case. Well its not, it is an atrocity, that's what it is.
Sure hardware is important, but i've learned that cases and displays and most peripherals are things that if you get the "good" stuff and usually the more expensive stuff, you are less inclined to upgrade. Basically if you're gonna do anything, do it right the first time. I had to pay that price, slowly upgrading my case and peripherals, when I wish I would've spent a little less on my hardware which I change often, to more on my other supplies which I interact with more.
Sorry a bit Off Topic, think OP has everyones opinions, plus numerous benchmarks, with much reiteration from owners of Silverstone ft02s and lian lis.
I used to be someone who believed cases weren't as important as what goes into the computer, but the more I thought about it and the more I looked at different cases, I just became disgusted with what I was seeing. I went to hell and back deciding which case to buy only because I was nitpicking everything I saw in each case. Anyway, there's no doubt that the FT-02 was $239.99 (free shipping!!) well spent.
I've developed such a grudge for plastic parts that I was a bit disappointed at the top cover of the FT-02... meh, I guess I'll get over it eventually.
