With a amd card you can only use iz3d and tridef, a 3d gamer needs all 3 softwares as what does'nt work with 1 usually works with one of the others.
3D for me is future as it would be way to expensive for me at the moment i know nvidia is definatly the way to go with 3D but by the time i get there i think the 560 TI will be very outdated and not be able to handle it?

Cards like the Asus DC and TF3 are pretty solid with a higher chance to unlock, but still not quite as much as reference. Rest of the cheaper non-ref options tend to be garbage quality and locked.

How about this 6950? http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/c...zriiipeoc.html

Both are fantastic cards, and the 6950 is slightly faster in some things. Although you could just go to around £250 and get a GTX 570 and rock!

Not sure why you specifically want 2GB models at your resolution though, it isn't needed.

VRAM requirements are highly over debated around forums, for the most part 1GB to 1.5GB is more than enough for 1920x1080 resolution if that's the monitor res you have in mind.

Surely your best bet is to hold on for a little while longer and see what the next generation nVidia and AMD cards offer in comparison to the cards you are looking at. IIRC, the HD7000 series is due within the next couple of months...at the very least this will drive down the prices of the HD6000 generation cards and allow you to get a more powerful model for your money.
HD 69xx has more horsepower if you play well over 1080p+. The 5x0 series will start to eat dusts at higher than that.
