BenQ's next 120hz, a 2D gamer's dream monitor?

Apparently they fixed everything that made the XL2410T suck. If it's true, it may just be THE monitor to own for those looking for the best possible 120hz for 2D gaming. I'm not liking the new stand design at all, but if the monitor's performance is great, I can look past it.

I will definitely be keeping my eye on this one as I can't stand all these other monitors being released that are 27in, which to me, is pointlessly over-sized for desktop gaming, have a super annoying glossy screen, and/or include glasses with the transmitter also being built in which does nothing but increase the price for those who have no plans on doing any 3D gaming.

The new samsungs are very pricey, but simply are stunning displays. I would highly recommend them if budget allows. These also have glossy displays mind you, but imho i feel it really adds to visual clarity/sharpness and overall aesthetic appeal.

Glossy is not everyones choice, but i really do prefer them over matter displays.

To what purpose does the giant gaping hole serve? It's such an eyesore.

I would imagine it's for cable management.

That's true, you'd think they would run it a bit higher to avoid seeing the cables at all. It's actually a deal breaker for me, too picky with aesthetics these days .

I'm picky with aesthetics as well, but you have to understand that "gaming equipment" nowadays is getting uglier and uglier to suit those out there that are truly "hardcore". For example, the R.A.T. 7 and the Razer Naga. Even the Logitech keyboards are ugly. Plantronics headphones too.

I mean personally I'd prefer the Alienware OptX AW2310 to look just like a Dell U2410, but the AW2310 is the most appealing piece of gaming equipment I'm yet to see unless you include the MX510 and the Razer Deathadder in the bunch. EDIT: Oh and SteelSeries mousepads (you know, the BLACK ones) are also very nice.

Fact is, don't buy a monitor for the stand unless it impairs your ability to move it. You can always buy a separate stand (almost all monitors have VESA standards) or get something that mounts to your desk and wall for more room.

I'd still never buy a BenQ product myself.

I've heard a thing with the XL2410T being black crush. If they fix that and provide some reasonable image quality all around, this monitor seems pretty good.
