Corsair Hydro Series H50

Hello

Today I received my EVGA P55 Micro motherboard, and I'm after an aftermarket CPU cooler for the LGA1156 socket. I've got an Antec 902 case and I've seen been told that the the Corsair H50 is a great air cooler. Just wondering if it will fit my case and if you have any other suggestions.

EDIT: Also both PCI-E slots and ALL RAM slots will be in use. Just a heads up because some of these coolers are massive.

Thanks

Awesome!

I'm just having a look at a few sites now and they all seem to be around $100. I'm not sure if that's overpriced for an "old" CPU cooler. If you know of any sites that could possibly sell it cheaper hit me up. I'm in Australia so international sites aren't much use to me because it would probably come to around $100+ including postage.

Thanks

The H50 will fit fine in that 902 case. I have mine in a NZXT Vulcan, which is a micro case. The H50 is smaller than most if not all high performance coolers. You won't regret the purchase!

Oh wow, $60 more expensive.. Maybe an international site wouldn't be so bad after all.

Spend a little more on H60 , It´s much better with a good config of Dual fans
Wanted: [WTB] GPU upgrade

I have a buddy that "upgraded" to the H60 from the H50. We observed maybe a 1c - 2c difference in temps.

On a side note OP, you could try this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835209049

It's not an H50, but I bet it works about the same, and it's only $59 as opposed to the $70 H50.

Unfortunately Newegg doesn't ship to Australia (Bastards). I found a H60 for $99 so I'll just go with that I guess. Also what thermal paste should I use for this cooler, any suggestions?

Options:
Artic Silver 5 Thermal Grease
Cooler Master Ice Value
Cooler Master Icefusion 40G
CoolerMaster HTK-002 Thermal Paste
CoolerMaster IC Essential E2 Thermal
CoolerMaster PTK-002 Premium Thermal Paste

They are the options from the same shop I'll be purchasing the H60 from.

Thanks

Ah, sorry didn't realize you were in Australia! The TIM that is on the corsair coolers is Shin Etsu and, in my experience, it is some of the best on the market. I would use what it comes with.
