MSI GTX 570/oc @ 1680x1050? (Kepler?)

How will this card performe for me? You can see my rig down there... First I thought of Asus GTX560Ti Top, and then I saw that for 70 euros more I can get this one... I won't have money until feb/march so maybe I'll wait for Kepler , depends on how performes etc etc. What do you think will this card be able to run games at ultra on my monitor? It's is slightly overclocked form factory so I think it will be great...

Maybe I decide for MSI GTX570 Twin Frozr III or Asus DCUII, still thinking, but I am sure that GTX 570 is good card... I will have money at spring, next year, so I hope that everything is gonna be fine with Kepler, no overheating issues etc etc... Do it right nVidia, I won't be able to push my 9800GT any more...

570 is great for 1680 x 1050 and it should be able to play pretty much everything at max. Your CPU may hold you back occasionally though but it shouldn't be too bad of a bottleneck.

Wow, now I see that I put Q6600 in my rig info... Damn, sorry, I missed it, I have Q9550... Will it bottleneck...? I will overclock it to 4Ghz... So if it would bottleneck it a lot, I will go with GTX560 Ti OC...

Nah the q9550 will be awesome, it has higher IPC than Phenom II/Slowdozer and still a very capable CPU.

@ your resolution gtx 570 will eat whatever you throw at it. Regarding that particular card - i have just ordered the same card and it appears to use GTX 470 pcb/cooler which as you know does not have vapor chamber heatsink and loud as hell.

Apparently msi even used same part numbers for both revisions: the reference model and gtx 470 pcb one. The only way to determine wich one u got is the serial # - if it has v222 among first 6 s/n simbols - u just got yourself a gtx 570 shenanigans with gtx 470 pcb/hetasink.

Real reference Msi gtx 570s have V801 in the s/n

Here is how 2 cards compare:

Attachment 237077

Edit: they also used GTX 480 pcb/cooler for OC versions
