BF3 on consoles is PC port... it has in game menus and server browsers...

How could "console is lead platform" possibly explain "browser-based launcher"? If anything it's the opposite. Lag is server stress, again not console related.
Memory leak is a problem, but hardly relevant to consoles.

Really though, I can't see where you got your conclusion from.
I never said anything about cpu scaling, but that would go more towards it getting the same fps with a dual core as it does a quad, because it's consolized, and as mentioned before BFBC2 had much better destruction.

It runs poorly for the graphical detail provided. I also dislike the fact that this late in 2011 there is no tess, objects look low res, and everything is flat.

They stopped development focused on PC, thus consoles could, or could not be directly related to those problems... They shouldn't be problems. Console caused or not, the lack of time spent developing the game specifically for PC was caused by consoles. These issues will probably be patched, which would be an indication of an unfinished product.

3: How does this prove that it is console like? Fine I hate it, but it has nothing to do with Consoles...

4: Well this has happened on every damn Battlefield game in existence, so don't go picking on BF3 by itself....

5:All servers, Xbox, PS3, and PC are having issues. This isn't just a PC thing.

And that is pretty much it....
1. My rig runs it at over 60 fps, but the amount of demand required doesn't produce the visuals other games provide with almost the same requirement.

2. It's distant tessellation, not the kind anyone really cares about.

3. Lack of time spent developing IG tools.

4. I'm not blaming anything, just pointing stuff out.

5. It's a issue though.

2. Small ass maps, no way these are the largest ever.
3. Mountains even on Ultra at a distance don't render all terrain and you can see enemies as if they are laying on nothing, so you cant tell where you hit. (500+ Meters) My longest headshot being 518 w/ the M40A5.
4. Not a lot of BMPs
5. No 2 Seater Planes!!?
6. Lame Loading Screens
Those make no sense. How did consoles affect those? Console limitations have nothing to do with 2 seat jets, or draw distance on ultra, that is a limitation of the engine. Using missiles and machine gun at the same time is a design flaw, not a console issue.

The game seems to be fine. The maps are a tad small, and consoles might of had a factor with that. But the maps are plenty big, just would of been nice if they were a little bit bigger.

Game turned out great, considering it was released on consoles as well.

What is with you people, you either will play the game, or won't. BC2 WAS A CONSOLE PORT, BF3 IS NOT(completely) A CONSOLE PORT.

Please name the features its missing, how could it be missing if it was never in the game in the first place?

Just because a screen says to turn off aim assist to make it a "challenge" doesn't mean the whole game was a port. It would defiantly explain why the loading screen doesn't fill up the whole window.

And for the people ragging on Battlelog, i actually like it, this is my opinon, but you have stat tracking, friends, friends acheivments, groups, servers, etc all in one place, epic.

I think the game is good, they need to do some changes though. Patches for sure, the game crashes a decent amount, not nearly as much as BlOps did when it came out, so im happy with that. It can only get better with time, unless they "fix" weapons, most notable the tracer dart from BC2.

Someone said that the maps feel like they were made for console. This i agree with, if you compare it to BF2. BC2 was a console port, so you can't compare it to that, even if you take away the fact that BC2 was a console port, it was a completely different type of game, BC STARTED ON CONSOLES, you'd be clueless if you said otherwise.

one last thing, 64 people is too much on any of the maps in the game, 32 is perfectly fine.

So much whine, maybe in time,
the babies here will shut up, when they realize the game is more then enough.

Bf3 is not a port at all , all versions are made on the same engine ..

they then port it to the ps3 and xbox ..

they didnt make 3 seperate games , one for each console .. how could you possibly think that ? its the same base code , except the ps3 and xbox have much lower res textures and many other things that allow it to run on such old hardware .. also a different set of instructions

us pc gamers got the real deal , dont ever call it a port again ..

I bet half the people saying this are the ones who cant max it out on ultra , the game is beautiful ..

"same fps with a dual core as it does a quad, because it's consolized"
That's not how it works. Ideally the vast majority of work gets put onto the GPU, which is considerably faster. Battlefield shows remarkably consistent frames all the way from newer IBs to older Athlons, meaning they're doing this quite well. Console games have rely on specialized processors, and console "ports" thus often take way too much CPU power (GTA IV is a perfect example). Getting good FPS with an older processor is the OPPOSITE of "consolization".

"It runs poorly for the graphical detail provided. I also dislike the fact that this late in 2011 there is no tess, objects look low res, and everything is flat."
I don't know about tessellation, but there are some incredibly high-res textures in Battlefield 3, and I don't know what you mean by "everything is flat". There are plenty of rocks, grasses, and foliage across the terrain.

Your last paragraph is irrelevant to the discussion. If you think Battlefield has issues, that's fine, but you can't blame these things on consoles.
