No, it is most definitely not proof. That's a static image. It's like taking the splash startup screen from the console version and using it on the PC version. Does it mean the entire game is ported? Not one bit. Yes, the splash logo/load screen may have been grabbed from the console version and used on the PC version as well.

I'm sorry that you feel that way, but no, BF3's destruction is not one bit any worse than BC2's.

The other night I was on Caspian Border. From deployment, I saw a jet far away coming in at a really high speed. My team's jet blew it up, and the pieces of the jet kept flying and struck a few different buildings at main base. The sound effects were amazing and the walls crumbled down upon impact. I really wish I had that on Fraps.

No wonder BC2 had better destruction than BF3. What a shame. So many missing features from the game it makes it feel like MW games. Dice and EA are idiots.

They definently could have used another few months. It turned out great but it could have been refined, and it will be lightly through patches. It's DICE's biggest game yet, they will either take care of it spontaneously or through pressure from the expanding community.

If anything, the destruction models on both games are equal, but I like the visuals associated with BF3's destruction better.

Exactly.

BC2 was a console point with fluff added in to the PC version. The way the game behaved (stuttering on dual core systems, inconsistent framerates, strange glitches in building destruction, etc.) made it apparent that console was first and PC was second.

With Battlefield 3, I'm inclined to believe otherwise. Most of the flaws that were in BC2 are gone in BF3, the maps are bigger, the destruction model looks better, the game runs smoother with dual cores, and there are less bugs to begin with than either BF2 or BC2. You'd be an idiot to believe that BF3 is a console port.

Because all concerns raised earlier were buried in an avalanche of "shut up and buy the game" and "I saw blurry trailer and came all over keyboard". The alarm bells were ringing from before the alpha all the way to post-release. Do yourself a favor and look at the older BF3 threads.

Well, you're talking macro destruction. Which is why I was specific to Micro in my post.

The micro level is things like bullets chipping away at corners, and hitting smaller items like the corners of buildings, bridges, small vaultable walls, etc. A lot of this is evident in places like Metro, where a grand number of walls aren't affected by damage unless you hit them on sweetspots. This doesn't really happen often in BC2.

Go to Metro, and in the middle of the lower floor, hit a rocket a foot to the left of the doorway. Nothing happens. Hit the center of the wall, the whole thing goes down, almost excessively. I see this a lot flying the chopper. Some things completely invulnerable, and then buildings melting like butter to a single rocket... it's not the fine system I expected it to be.

For one rocket to knock down the whole wall, instead of peppering it with damage, just makes it feel like this predetermined trigger, instead of the live destruction that was masked so well in BC2. The damage is GRANDER in BF3, but it's not SMARTER to me.

There were PLENTY of threads about this before. You don't go to the EA US or UK forums, or post on Battlelog obviously. This has been a community sentiment since before the Alpha and made stronger during Beta. People calling it Bad Company 3 is also common. When someone from Dice comes out and says they intended this to be Bad Company 3 and changed their minds and decided to just focus on a BF sequel, don't just say nobody ever mentioned it before either.
