But i really hope that rumors that nvidia will release the low-end cards first on march/april 2012, are false, damn false.

I don't want in my 2012 new rig with a 3700k cpu, to use my old 9800GT card, just to wait for nvidia slow ass to release the high end cards, 670 and 680.
Let's hope it's more like the releases of the 500 series with the 570 & 580 first and the lower end trickling in afterwards.

Yes, i hope it too. But i don't know where the community heard that rumor about nvidia releasing the low-end cards of Kepler and then after some months the high-end cards.

Nvidia started with the 480 and 470 with the Fermi, and the 500 series as well, the high-end cards, 580 and 570 and then the other mainstream and low-end cards.

Based to this nvidia "history" i thing the rumor isn't true, i think they will start with the 680 and 670 cards, and then the other versions.

But the most important question for me and other is this:

Nvidia released the 680 and 670 cards, on (let's say) sometime in march, and from them how much time can pass until the manufacturers implement their custom gpu's. Like the SOC, Lightning, etc. with much better VRM, and custom PCB and cooling system.

Cuz, then in march/april i will have the money, but i don't want to buy a reference gpu. That is the question, i think i have to wait some extra time even nvidia has released their kepler gpus.

Not much point playing the waiting game. If there's a card out now that u want then go for it. If you start waiting til its out then you wait a bit longer so it will get cheaper, then there will be rumours about another new series so you wait again.... I usually buy when i want to. Think a 570 or a 580 will be fine for a long time and if it isn't enough later on you can always sli.

just my opinion
