Help with Antec Kuhler 620

Thread Starter
Hi, I am new to building my own computer however I have read up on a lot of things and I think I have a decent idea of what I am doing. I recently bought all of the parts for my new computer build. My build is below in my signature. My problem is this: hwo can i get my Antec Kuhler 620 to work with an LGA 1155 socket? On the box it says it is compatible with LGA 1155 however when I went to install it over the CPU, the backplate would not fit over the holes right on the motherboard. My motherboard is an Asus P8Z68-V Pro and my CPU is an Intel i7 2600k.

My other question with the Kuhler 620 is this: For anyone familiar with the Antec DF-85 case, can you attach the 120mm fan from the Kuhler to the open 120mm fan slot on the door panel of the case instead of taking out one of the rear 120mm fans?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Make sure you're using the right back plate - it should be using the 1155/1156 slot (as they are the same size
2. I would never ever recommend mounting a cooler to a side door. A. Its going to be tough working with it should you need to take off the door as you'll have to detach the fan / cooler each time, and then have a cooler hanging there. B. The cooler is fine as a rear exhaust as it will exhaust the warm air in your case just like using a fan.
