P8Z68-V Pro troubleshooting - Page 2

It should restart, and run fine, if it can configure correctly. also tried putting the RAMs in a blue+black slot?

Such as: 0-1-1-0
or: 1-1-0-0

1 is for the slots with RAMs.

yep, done that. in the two middle slots.

it starts blinking for a while, then it just turns back into the solid red glow.

I don't know then. You can also try removing one of the modules, and see if it works with one. Or if you have another DDR3 RAM nearby, you could try putting in that one, in case the problem is with the compatibility.

well when you first built your rig, did you use the onboard video or the GPU to go into bios etc. etc.

onboard video, since I have i7 with graphics core in it.

It shouldn't matter though, if you don't even get to the post screen. if the DRAM led is glowing, it is a memory issue, not a graph. card one.

Sorry about it then, I was completely sure that something is with your RAMs, because I had a similar issue too. Good to see you figured the problem out.
