The card definatly works guys, iv had it in another machine and all works just fine.
does anyone know of any jumpers on the motherboard that would allow me to access the graphics in the bios? Maybe acer disabled them so the pc could not be upgraded.
It seems the power goes on the card fine because the fan is spinning, the card has only one 6 pin power sorce and that works fine to.

Set the primary display adapter to PCI-E in BIOS?

Edit: Just jump into the BIOS by pressing AHHH I don't know what the button is for prebuilt systems but mine is "del" and change the Primary Display Adapter to PCI-E and you should be good to go!

Edit Edit: Did some searching around and for Acer it should be the "f10" button.
