Help Please, SLI'n GTX570's

Thread Starter
Hi I have just bought another GTX570 same as what is my rig below, I have also done a fresh windows install because I got a new SSD.

But when I start windows the second card fans run to 70% which nosy.
It is only when MSI Afterburner starts, in which I have the fan speed locked do they slow down.

Is there something I am missing, or something that I can do?

I am new to the graphic card side of things, so if more info needed I am sorry.

dont know how you would do it with Nvidia control panel but i sounds like the stock fanspeed is set for a higher amount in the drivers. have you tried the card on its own and does it still do it? and then have you tried it with sli disabled and does it do it?

if the new card does it even on its own try reinstalling the drivers and if that doesnt work it would sound like you may need to send the card back and get a new one. if you have only had it for a couple days i would call the place were you got it, even if its newegg, they should really take it back and send you a new one and RMA the card them selves.

Uninstall Afterburner, select "no" to keep settings. Restart PC and remove Nv drivers. After restart install Forceware. Later install Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 8 and configure how you want Afterburner to control fan speed for both cards.
