autohotkey help

post #1 of 16
Thread Starter
I just got my Filco Ninja today - it's absolutely fantastic!

But there's one small problem - lack of media control.

So, I was wondering if anyone knew a good autohotkey script that allows play/pause, skip, rewind, and volume control. I've been looking around for a while, but I have yet to find a script that fitted my criteria.

Thanks,

it's working out almost perfectly, but is there a way to make it so that it only accepts the commands while I hold down a certain key, ie. right windows?

You can use KeyTweak to remap your keyboard layout.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not looking to remap any of the keys. I was looking for something that would allow some key to serve as a function key, like what you find on laptop keyboards.

This is my script, very simple. Paste this into a .ahk script and then use it. You can edit the hotkey or hotkey combinations to whatever you prefer using the key list here: (http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/KeyList.htm)

Quote:
Alt & 1::send {Media_Prev}
Alt & 2::send {Media_Next}
Alt & 3::send {Media_Play_Pause}
Alt & 4::send {Volume_Mute}
Alt & E::send {Volume_Down}
Alt & R::send {Volume_Up}
In your case, to make right windows key and F11 trigger play/pause you would use this:

Quote:
RWin & F11::send {Media_Play_Pause}
