Odds are they'll take it back and give you nothing, best case maybe a small store credit (doubtful).
They pretty much expect that you're going to keep and and don't count on getting it back.

I like the "robin hood" suggestion of making it a freebie lol.

it happend to me a couple times. once with a head set and another time with a hard drive.

@OP:
i wouldnt worry about them charging you for it either, LP will just write it off as a loss anyways when they do their weekly thing. give it to someone as an x-mas gift

I'd just keep it and sell or do freebie on here, they won't be able to charge you and they already wrote it off as loss, keep it for a few weeks though just to be sure. IMO their fault for losing it in the first place. Had a Wii bundle from gamestop lost to me when they were going for like $500 bucks, UPS ended up giving it to my neighbor 3 houses down..... 2 weeks of annoying gamestop apparently the first guy I talked to didn't even write it down or make a note of its loss so it took so long, they sent out a new one ( when everywhere they were out of stock ) the next day after i replacement wii my neighbor brought me my original wii. I ended up selling one set to my friend at a huge discount. I figured they made me go through all that trouble and 2 weeks of waiting they should pay for it.

Lol i actually work at a Best Buy ( Canada one). I'll ask the manager of product process and see what he'd say. In the end OP if you didn't call BB and or return it would you feel bad / guilty? And then what would you do with it sell or freebie? All depends on what type of person you are. I personally think I'd call them up to see if they want it back, if they didn't then I'd freebie it
