Best Buy gave me two free PS3 games...what do i do? - Page 4

Why not call Best Buy anyway? They might give a cool reward of some kind while simultaneously just saying "Nah, just keep it."

Knowing me i would probably be a loser and send them an email or something letting them know what happened. If they want to pay for return shipping i would send it back. But most likely they dont care too much about it. I doubt you will get anything extra for being honest, mainly because its Best Buy and all and they really dont care. But I dont think they would want it back either.

not your fault. keep it
I would call them tell them what happened and if they arrange pickup free of charge at a time that suits you then return it. Chances are they will say keep it. Or if your lucky you will get a credit or something.

Wow. If doing the right thing means that you're a loser, then want to be the biggest loser whoever lived.

If you were Best Buy and if someone were to be honest with you in this situation, then would you be thinking "What a loser"?

Actually had the same thing happen just last week with some Disney Stuff my wife ordered. We were worried they would charge us twice so gave them all call for what to do. They told us to keep it or send it back but it didn't really matter because their claims department already chalked up the issue as a fault of their own and wouldn't ask us to return it to save face because of their screw up sending it out correctly to begin with. We ended up taking the items back to a local store and the manager was impressed with our honestly and gave us the full value with tax and shipping on a instore gift card. You could have similar luck with Bestbuy. Personally it would bug me not to call them and tell them the situation.

Not if you are a major, money making corporation. Dont get me wrong, I look at it as a fault, because these guys arent losing anything by shipping out that small amount of money in extra product, while to someone like me its a much higher percentage of reward. With that being said, i still have a problem accepting stuff like that. While these major corporation's who over price everything could care less.

Edit: But if stuff like this happens too often, as with shop lifting, we end up paying more in the long run. I guess thats why i have a hard time excepting a mistake sometimes.

And actually probably yes. Because I am in the "service industry" and 99% of the people out there in the USA do much worse for free stuff on a daily basis.

Corporations.

While they couldn't care less, it's likely that you will still be rewarded for being honest with them because you are showing that you have their best interest in mind instead of your own. So in return for showing them some love, they show you some love and say "Here. Take this cool reward as our way of saying Thank You".

There is a chance at that, but Best Buy? Doubt it. Sorry bout the Corporations, stupid spell check. Stupid me for not getting it right the first time.

What's the worst that could happen? What if he calls Best Buy and nothing comes out of it? That'd be like, what: 5 minutes wasted? I mean really, look at ssgtnubb's example.

This is why the old saying is "Honesty is the best policy". Losers are dishonest.
