Hmmm... maybe I'm phrasing it wrong... I'd rather wait to see what the facts are because I don't trust EA. Personally, I don't want to wait for the headlines that EA screwed us all. Just because nobody has caught them yet, doesn't mean they aren't doing. You're right, it's not clear cut yet because nobody really knows what EA is doing. But the fact is, for whatever reason, EA has given themselves the potential to do something they shouldn't. Whether they abuse that power or not remains to be seen.

Its a publicly traded major corporation. Their morals are driven by profits. At this point in time you should view them all as suspect until they prove otherwise.

There was a certain mod who was going around claiming Origin deleted his games for no reason and told him to "just buy them again".

People were all eating it up and getting on a rage about it, constantly bringing it up in anti Origin threads/discussions.

I did my own digging around and found out that this mod had actually simply exploited a pricing mistake on the website he bought his game from. It was being "sold" for free and it was actually a steamworks game, therefore having absolutely nothing to do with Origin.

When Steam was notified of the keys that were obtained via the exploit, they were cancelled and the games removed from steam.

Yet this mod somehow managed to convince shedloads of people that it was actually Origin that deleted his steamworks games........doesn't help that this person was pure anti Origin/pro Steam.

Basically what I'm trying to say, is that its pointless to be angry that someone or something may be attempting to fool you, and then go jump on the bandwagon of someone who may also be giving info that doesn't tell the whole truth, or even the truth at all.

I dont see why there is such a lack of will to actually find out just what is happening in specific detail?

That wasn't the only person it happened to and I'm going to need proof.

That would only get me a warning (or probably an infraction for repeating it), which is what happening last time I brought it up and the person already admitted they were incorrect to blame EA for deleting a non EA related steamworks game from their steam account.

If you know who I'm talking about, there should be no proof needed to explain how a game that has nothing to do with EA would not actually be deleted from a persons system by EA.
